For big conferences, festivals, multi-room productions, and government — higher language limits, more concurrent sessions, an SLA, and procurement support.
Prices exclude applicable tax. Annual billing saves two months: you pay for ten, billed once up front for the year.
$10 per language-hour
Billed once as an Event Pass, valid for 30 days, for up to 8 languages. No tiers to choose, no per-seat fees, and unlimited listeners on every room.
BibleSense costs $3 per room-hour on Lite and Standard, taken from your hour balance; it is included in Pro and Campus. One Event Pass covers up to 150 language-hours.
A tablet in the room, on the plan you already have.
A Koine Station runs on your organization plan and uses the same language-hours as every other session.
A station from us — the tablet and its stand, set up for the room — costs NOK 5,000 (USD 500 / EUR 459) per station excluding VAT, paid once, and it is yours to keep with a two-year warranty. Wireless headsets are NOK 2,500 (USD 250 / EUR 229) each and a room microphone for the speaker NOK 1,500 (USD 150 / EUR 138), also paid once.
Where the cheaper tools stop.
| What happens | A typical live translation tool | Koine |
|---|---|---|
| A passage is read | Translated as speech, like any other sentence | Shown in each listener's own published Bible, approved at the booth before it appears |
| Someone misses a sentence | They wait for the next one | They rewind while the session is still live, then return to the live edge |
| A listener wants to keep something | Whatever they write down themselves | Notes, photos and highlights stay pinned to the line that prompted them |
| A week later, they have a question | Not typically offered | They ask across every session they attended and get an answer from the transcript, in their language |
| Someone needs the sound, not a translation | Not typically offered | The room's own audio on every phone — hearing assistance without a loop or receivers |
| Next week comes around | Share a new link | One address people follow, and their phone tells them when you go live |

Pricing questions.
What is a "language-hour"?
One language translated for one hour. Two languages for one hour uses two language-hours — the unit that reflects actual processing.
What happens if we exceed the included usage?
Every organization can buy 1–150 extra language-hours at a time in Billing & usage. Free and Event Pass accounts pay $10 per hour; Lite pays $9, Standard $8, Pro $7 and Campus $6. Custom plans use the agreed rate. Prices are shown in your billing currency. Plan hours are used first. Prepaid hours do not expire, even after a downgrade or an Event Pass expires. Extra hours do not change your plan limits or extend an Event Pass.
Monthly included hours reset each month. If a paid plan runs out of hours during a live session, the session is not cut off: it can run up to one more language-hour, billed at the plan’s extra-hour rate.
Do you offer non-profit or annual discounts?
Annual billing includes two months free: you pay for ten months, billed once up front for the year. Non-profit and multi-campus rates are available — contact us.
Can I use Koine on my own, without an organization?
Yes, and it is a separate product rather than a smaller plan. Koine Live Pro turns your own phone into the room microphone and translates for you; Koine Plus adds questions, recaps and review across everything you have heard. Prices and detail are on personal plans.
What happens to the equipment if we stop using Koine?
It stays yours. While you use Koine, the station opens straight into Koine and we keep it updated. Ask us any time and we release it as an ordinary tablet, and if Koine ever closes, we release every station first. We never lock equipment over an unpaid bill; only the translation service stops.
Can we rent a station instead of buying one?
Yes, on request. A managed station, which Koine owns, maintains and replaces when its tablet stops getting updates, is NOK 3,000 (USD 300 / EUR 270) a year excluding VAT, and a station can also be rented for a single event. Ask us.
How is a two-way conversation billed?
In the same language-hours as everything else — one per language, only while the microphone is on, nothing while paused. Translated phone calls are an add-on available on request and are not priced on this page. See how a conversation works.
